Clean Water Filter
Provides one household water filter serving a family of five for up to five years.
Waterborne disease — diarrhoea, cholera, typhoid — kills hundreds of thousands of children each year. Most of these deaths are entirely preventable. A household ceramic water filter eliminates bacterial contamination at source and can serve a family of five for up to five years with basic maintenance. Your gift provides one filter, delivered and installed with training by World Aid Network's community health volunteers in a region where clean drinking water is not reliably available.
Questions about this gift
What type of filter is provided?
A ceramic pot filter — the same technology used by major international water organisations. It removes bacteria, protozoa, and suspended solids without electricity or chemicals.
How long does a filter last?
With proper care, a ceramic filter lasts 2–5 years. Community health volunteers conduct quarterly follow-up visits to check condition and clean the filter.
What diseases does this prevent?
The filter eliminates the pathogens responsible for cholera, typhoid, dysentery, and most common diarrhoeal diseases — the leading causes of child mortality in the regions we serve.
This is the actual cost of the intervention — not a fundraising target.
This is a charitable donation. Nothing is shipped. Your gift funds a specific frontline intervention.
